About Summer All-Stars
The All-Stars program offers players the opportunity to compete at a higher level of softball. Participation is by tryout, and only the top players in each division will be selected. Playing time is not guaranteed and is determined at the coach’s discretion. Selected players are expected to attend all scheduled practices and tournaments.
Participation involves additional costs, including a player fee (TBD), as well as team fundraising and league-supported fundraising efforts. Every All-Star family is expected to actively participate in fundraising and volunteer activities to support the program.
Each coach will select the tournaments their team will attend, and players are expected to commit to those tournament dates. Families should anticipate travel outside of San Luis Obispo County and plan accordingly for transportation, lodging, and other related expenses.
All-Stars is a significant commitment for both players and their families. Before trying out, families should carefully consider the time, financial, and travel commitments involved, as well as their ability to support their player throughout the season.

Who can participate in All-Stars?
Available for 8U-14U/16U girls who played in the Spring Season with PRGSL.
When are All-Star Tryouts?
Try outs are held at the end of April at the conclusion of the Spring season.
Tryouts will be by division. Players should arrive 30 minutes prior to their divisions evaluation time to check in.
What will the evaluation be like?
Players will be evaluated on:
- Batting / Bunting
- Grounders / Pop Flys
- Home to 1st Base Running
- Home to Home Running
- Pitching (if applicable)
- Catching (if applicable)
- Attitude
